Introduction__Now that you’ve learned the art of 3D Sculpting for Jewelry Design, it’s time to bring your digital creations into the physical world. The Lost Wax Casting workshop is the next essential step in the jewelry-making process. In this class, you’ll learn how to transform your 3D sculpted models into metal pieces using the traditional lost wax casting technique.
Whether you’re looking to refine your personal creations or expand your skills for professional jewelry making, this workshop will equip you with the tools and techniques to bring your digital visions to life.
What You’ll Learn__ Building on your 3D sculpting skills, this Lost Wax Casting workshop will walk you through hands-on instruction at a casting house, where you’ll gain the knowledge and skills necessary to take your digital models, create wax versions, and cast them into high-quality metal jewelry. By the end of the workshop, you will:
- Learn the Lost Wax Casting Process: Learn the full process of transforming your 3D sculpted designs into solid metal pieces, including preparing the wax modeland performing the casting itself.
- Create a Metal Jewelry Piece: You’ll leave the workshop with a cast metal piece of jewelry ready for filing and polishing, turning your 3D sculpted model into a tangible item. Whether it's a ring, pendant, or custom accessory, you'll have the hands-on experience of bringing your concept to life.
- Explore Materials and Tools: Get hands-on experience with various metals (such as silver, gold, or brass) and learn how to work with casting tools and equipment to achieve professional-level results.

This hands-on course is focused on the essential finishing techniques that turn your casted creations into polished works of art, ready for wear or sale.

Essential Filing Techniques: Practice the art of filing metal jewelry, learning how to remove imperfections, smooth rough edges, and refine the overall shape of your cast piece.
